Getting started
What do I need to use Aura?
You need an active Aura account. Aura is the mobile companion to your organization's Aura workspace — if your company already uses Aura, your administrator can grant you access. If they don't, get in touch and we'll help you set up a workspace.
How do I install Aura?
Download Aura from the App Store (iPhone / iPad) or Google Play (Android). On first launch, you'll be asked to sign in with your Aura credentials or your organization's single sign-on provider.
Sign-in & access
I can sign in to Aura on the web, but the mobile app won't let me in.
This is usually one of three things
You're connecting to the wrong workspace URL — check the org and workspace fields against the URL you use on the web.
Your SSO provider blocks mobile clients — your IT admin can allow-list Aura.
Your role doesn't include the permissions Aura needs (typically read access to your workspace's automations and tasks).
Quick check: open your Aura workspace URL on the same phone in Safari/Chrome. If you can sign in there, the problem is almost always permissions or SSO configuration — not the app.
How do I sign out or switch workspaces?
Open the Profile tab in the bottom navigation. You'll find both "Switch workspace" and "Sign out" there. Signing out clears your local session; signing back in re-pulls your agents and tasks from your Aura workspace.
Agents & chat
I don't see any agents in Aura.
Aura only shows agents your account has access to. If your administrator hasn't shared an agent with you, it won't appear. Ask your Aura administrator to grant you access to the agent or the folder it lives in.
Why did the agent answer differently than on the web?
Aura uses the same AI services across mobile and web — including the same models and the same tools. Differences usually come from the prompt itself (Aura's mobile UX summarizes more aggressively) or the conversation history. Long, complex queries still work best on the web.
Tasks & approvals
An approval isn't showing up in Aura.
Pull-to-refresh on the Alerts tab. If it still doesn't appear, check your task inbox on the web — Aura lists exactly what your workspace exposes to you.
Can I act on tasks for another user?
Only if they've assigned the task to you (or to a group you're in). Aura respects every role and folder permission your workspace has configured, the same as on the web.
Notifications
Aura sends push notifications when an agent finishes, a workflow needs your input, or a case you follow is updated. If you're not getting them:
iOS: Settings → Notifications → Aura → confirm Allow Notifications.
Android: Settings → Apps → Aura → Notifications → enable.
Inside Aura: Profile → Notifications → confirm the categories you care about are on.
Can I act on tasks for another user?
Aura is a secure window into your Aura workspace — your conversations, tasks and workflow data stay inside your workspace. For full details, see our Privacy page.
Status & known issues
If something feels broken across the board, check our status page first — it'll tell you whether there's a platform-wide incident affecting agents, automations, or tasks.
Still stuck? Reach the Aura team directly at support@aura.app. Include your workspace URL, the email you signed in with, and a screenshot if you have one — it gets you a faster answer.
